Mr. Garrison has a general civil practice with concentration in insurance defense, surety, estate planning, corporations and entities, and employment law.  He attended the University of Tennessee where he received a B.S. in History (with high honors, 1971), and was Phi Beta Kappa.  He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1975.  While at the University, he was a Neyland Scholar, a Distinguished Military Graduate, and received the Judge John Greene Scholarship in law school.  Mr. Garrison is a member of the Knoxville, Tennessee and American Bar Associations, the Defense Research Institute, American Board of Trial Advocates and the International Association of Defense Counsel.  Mr. Garrison is also Chancellor of the Holston Conference of the United Methodist Church.
